Who you are dealing with

A general contractor, sized for small and medium projects

Peterch Construction began work in 2008 as a project management contractor. In May 2021 the company was incorporated in Nigeria as an indigenous construction services provider. That history matters: we came up managing other people's trades before we ever carried a contract in our own name.

Today we take the main contractor role on small and medium sized projects, and we run project management for industrial and commercial jobs where several specialists have to be coordinated. We also provide design input and engineering solutions as a value-added service.

Our objective is simple to state and hard to fake: that a client who chooses us gets an “I am assured” experience. Clear communication, procedures that are followed through, and a client's objectives treated as the priority in planning and execution.

How a job runs

Price agreed, programme agreed, then one person answers for it

No job starts on a verbal estimate. This is the sequence every project follows, whether it is a fence line or a three-bedroom house.

Site visit and scope

We look at the site, the access, the ground and what already exists. Where you have drawings or a bill of quantities, we work from them.

Priced offer and programme

A written scope, a priced offer and a programme in weeks. Assumptions and exclusions are stated, not left to be discovered later.

Execution and supervision

Materials procured to specification, trades sequenced, work checked against the drawing before it is covered up. Progress reported to you.

Handover

Snag list closed, site cleaned, and the documents you need — certificates, test results, guarantees — handed over with the keys.

How we build

Pre-qualification

The paperwork your tender panel will ask for

Public sector and corporate procurement in Nigeria stops at the document stage long before it reaches the price. Peterch Construction holds the core set and supplies current copies with every submission.

  • Certificate of Incorporation with CAC2 and CAC7
  • Tax Clearance Certificate
  • Industrial Training Fund (ITF) compliance certificate
  • NSITF compliance certificate
  • BPP certificate and registration on the National Database of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers
  • SCUML certificate and bank reference letter

Compliance & registrations

Straight answer on documents

Certificates expire. Tax, ITF and NSITF certificates are renewed annually, and the copies we send out are always the current ones. If your procurement team needs a specific document that is not on this list, ask — we would rather tell you we do not hold it than waste your time.

Cost advice, kept separate

We build to the numbers. Our sister practice produces them.

Peterch QS is the quantity surveying practice of Peterch Construction Ltd. It prepares bills of quantities, material schedules, cost estimates and interim valuations — and it will act for you independently of us, including checking our own applications for payment.

That separation is deliberate. A contractor who also certifies his own valuation is not giving anyone an independent number. If you need drawings measured, a budget tested or a builder's application for payment verified, that work belongs with the practice.

Both trade from the same office on Peterch Street, and both answer to the same email address.

Common questions

Answers before you call

The questions we are asked most often, answered the way we would answer them on the phone.

QuestionShort answer
Do you work from my architect's drawings?Yes. Send the drawings; we build to them and raise queries in writing where they are unclear or silently change the scope.
Can you build from a bill of quantities?Yes. A BOQ from any consultant is the cleanest basis for a contract. We price it and build to it.
How is payment arranged?By milestones written into the contract, not by lump sums in advance. The schedule is agreed before work starts.
Do you supply materials?Normally yes, to the specification in the contract. Where a client supplies, we inspect on delivery and record what was accepted.
Which areas do you cover?New Karu and the rest of Nasarawa State, Abuja and the FCT as routine work. Projects elsewhere in Nigeria are taken where the scope justifies the mobilisation.
Do you take small jobs?Yes — a single fence line, a roof repair, a defective tiled floor. Small jobs are how most clients meet us first.
